Flemingo Duty Free (Mauritius) Ltd is the result of a joint venture between Mauvilac Group and Flemingo International, a company based in Dubai, leader in the Duty Free industry with more than 85 stores in the major airports and ports of the Indian and African continents and of the Indian Ocean.
In Mauritius, Flemingo has opened its first duty free shop at GBS Plaza in Grand Bay in June 2008 and also owns another store at the Pier Dias Caudan Waterfront in Port Louis.

Mauvilac Group, in partnership with Flemingo International, has brought a new dimension to the concept of 'Mauritius, duty free island', with its General Distribution Océan Indien Ltée (GDOI) company, which has been appointed exclusive distributor of Philip Morris International cigarettes in the Indian Ocean.
The company operates from warehouses in the Freeport of Port Louis, and uses Mauritius as a duty free platform for the distribution of Philip Morris cigarettes in the Indian Ocean.
GDOI supplies all duty-free shops at airports, ports and cities, shipchandlers, the airlines and members of the diplomatic corps of all the islands of the region, including Reunion, Madagascar, Seychelles, Mayotte, Comoros and Mauritius.

Besides GDOI, Flemingo Duty Free Services Ltd also operates in the Freeport of Mauritius with the vision to become the preferred wholesale duty free supplier to all "duty free" players of the region, offering a full range of duty free products and holding stocks of most major brands of chocolates and liquor.

In addition to the duty free distribution, the Mauvilac Group has obtained from Philip Morris the exclusive distribution of Marlboro cigarettes on the Mauritian market. After a long period of absence in the market, the brand is now available in supermarkets, shops, 'tabagies', hotels and restaurants and Flemingo Distribution Ltd is pushing hard to give to the brand the most important share in its category.
